AIG gives his version of viral video showing family getting 'harassed' by police

KARACHI: AIG CTD Kamran Fazal addressed the incident making rounds on social media that showed a family getting ‘harassed’ by police officials.Talking to Geo news, AIG CTD Kamran stated that the incident had occurred four to five days earlier and revealed that the car with the man and woman inside had overtaken two to three motorcycles  very carelessly.He went on to add that the same car had overtaken his Toyota Vigo as well and he had stopped the car to question them as to why they were driving so carelessly. He further clarified that the police official was conversing very politely and had directed his discourse towards the man in the driving seat while refraining from arguing with the woman seated beside him. On Sunday, a video of a family in Karachi's DHA area had stared making rounds on social media that showed police officials  asking the man in the car to step out  and speak to the  IG inside the police vehicle, which both the passengers of the car had refused."You can ask the IG sahib to come here and talk to us. Why should we go? We are citizens of this place, you cannot just ask us to get out of our cars. We don’t live in a sovereign state that you can causally just call us. You call him. He wants to talk to us, we are ready he can come here and talk,” the woman can be heard telling the police official.The man on the driving seat states: “I was driving the car very normally. I had stopped over there for you as well. What does this mean that ‘we have been called?’”
