AMRITSAR: In wake of growing Indian aggression that  risks the regional peace, Punjab chief minister Amarinder Singh on Monday warned his government  that Pakistan would not hesitate to use its nuclear arsenal [in defence] to thwart any misadventure.He was reported to have said that both India and Pakistan were nuclear powers, adding it was not in either country's interest to use the weapons of mass destruction.It is  pertinent to note that Pakistan has always reiterated that it's a responsible state and   country’s nuclear assets are in safe hands.Pakistan on Friday released captured Indian pilot Wing Commander Abhinandan Varthaman as a peace gesture. He was arrested by troops after shooting down Indian jets violating Pakistan airspace. The decision of Prime Minister Imran Khan has been lauded by the world leaders.According to the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute (SIPRI)  Pakistan  has far ahead of India in strength of nuclear arsenals.
