Martyred soldier Abdur Rub laid to rest with full honours

DERA GHAZI KHAN: Martyred soldier Abdur Rub was laid to rest with full military honors on Sunday.The funeral was attended by a contingent of Pak Army officials as well as  civilians.  Four people, including two Pakistan Army soldiers, embraced  martyrdom  while two civilians were injured in shelling from across the Line of Control (LoC).“Two Pakistan Army soldiers embraced martyrdom at Nakiyal Sector in exchange of fire while targeting Indian posts that were targeting the civilian population,” the ISPR statement read.Abdul Rub was 31, while the other martyr, Naik Khurram, whose funeral service will take place later today, was also 31. as tensions continue to simmer between Pakistan and India in the aftermath of the Pulwama suicide bombing.The two soldiers were martyred while returning fire to Indian posts firing across the LoC, said the military’s media wing, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).On Wednesday, Pakistan Air Force (PAF) shot down two Indian aircraft for violating Pakistani airspace and captured  and Indian pilot, Wing Commander  Abhinandan, who was  later released by Prime Minister Imran Khan in  a peace  gesture.
